The Paint Jar is an Art Studio hidden away in the outskirts of Malton, North Yorkshire.
The Studio is a purpose built indoor outdoor venue for children and their families to come together, embrace their creativity... and just paint!
So dig out your painting clothes (as great art can get messy!) and join us down in the studio to create your very own masterpiece!

PAINT & PLAY!
Thursdays 10-11AM
Painting, messy mark making and Process art activities in a purpose built Studio & Garden Play space designed for for the Under 5s!
Home Ed Art Club
Wednesdays 1-3pm
ARt sessions for children aged 5-12years.
Activities include:
Canvas Painting, Colour Theory, art History, clay, Nature Art and Crafts.
(Younger & Older Siblings always welcome!)
Canvas & Ceramic Painting
Monthly Sunday session in the Studio!
10-12AM
A relaxed painting session for children of all ages!
(Children under 8 must be accompanied
by an Adult for these sessions)
Canvases & Ceramics are individually priced and the Canvases can be made to order
Drawing & Talking Therapy
A gentle attachment-based therapeutic intervention which uses a non-directed technique that enables children to process emotions and trauma in a consistent and tranquil setting with an Advanced trained Drawing & Talking Practitioner .

Painting Parties!
We host parties for up to 10 children in the studio or hire a Painting Party Bell Tent for a garden party with a difference!
(Party Bundles start at £17 per child)

Family Masterpiece!
(Private Session)
Create a bespoke canvas painting with the whole family or just enjoy private studio time with your family with gentle guidance from our Resident Artist.
All Private hires include bottomless hot & Cold drinks and nibbles!

Access to the Studio is via a pedestrianised driveway found opposite Malton School off Middlecave Road. (Look out for our Painted Log sign at the Entrance!)
Parking for the Studio is on the Middlecave Road between Malton School and the Veterinary Surgery.
We do have a small amount of onsite parking outside the studio for anyone with mobility issues. Please contact us if you need any further assistance.
